Hi Suzy- I live in the Uk and have been married to my Egyptian husband for 38 years and have two adult sons, one 28 and the other 38 years . Your site has been a revelation to me as I just could not believe that these antiquated practices are still going on and in such places!!! We have been so fortunate, of course there has been the racial issues over the years but these have been on a personal and not an institutional level. I am finding that the information from your sites are helping me to understand further some of the issues my children faced re identity but I thank God that although it has taken time they are now well adjusted young men and I could not be a more proud and happy Mum.
